Timothy Memorial School (TMS) is a non-profit, independent, private school that provides individualized learning programs for children with developmental or learning disabilities, with or without a diagnosis of their disability.
The school limits enrollment to a maximum of 10 students, maintains small adult-child ratios, teaches each student at their own level, and allows them to progress at their own speed. TMS sessions run from September to June, with a summer session in July. School hours are Monday through Friday - 8:30am - 2:30pm.
Timothy Memorial School aims to provide an exemplary education
based on Judeo-Christian faith-based traditions. We use multi-sensory, hands-on activities and success oriented approaches to fulfill the spiritual, academic, physical, and emotional needs of our students. And we are committed to help each student achieve maximum personal independence and success.
Timothy Memorial School is named in the memory of Lieutenant Timothy Higgins, a New York City firefighter, and Timothy Stout, an employee of Cantor Fitzgerald, who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. |
